Aloha Friday...favorite state!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too!

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link over at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My Question:
What's your favorite state that you've been to?

First and foremost...I love the state I was born and raised in, California.  I know you are thinking I am insane and asking for the punishment this state is dishing out a little crazy, but I just love the climate, I love the seasons, I love the fact that I can drive an hour to the snow or an hour to the ocean.  It's been an excellent place to grow up and I love that I am able to raise my kids here too!
As for states that I have been to...I am a big fan of Manhattan, NY!  I love the pace and everything about it.  One of my favorite things was the subway, the fact that you don't actually have to own a vehicle was awesome!  If I chose to not be a parent and raise a family, I would have moved to NY in a heartbeat!

Happy Friday!

  1. Although I haven't lived there since I graduated from college, I grew up in Alabama, and I think it's the greatest state in the union. :) From the foothills of the Appalachians to the white sandy beaches of the gulf coast, you have it all...all wrapped in deep-south hospitality.

As for states I've visited, I have to agree with you on California and New York. I just saw your post on San Francisco, which was our favorite vacation ever (before kiddos). And another big piece of my heart belongs to NYC.

Hmmm...what the heck am I doing in Kentucky??? HA!

  2. I've only lived in California although I've visited a few other states. I would think that my favorite place would be Northern California..near Santa Barbara. I just love the ocean. It's relaxing and peaceful.

I'm heading up to Portland, OR soon to check out the possibilities. I'm hoping that I love OR too.
